> Orlo is a secure AI-powered document assistant. Users upload documents, receipts, invoices, insurance policies, MOT certificates, passports, tax returns, contracts, warranties, utility bills, medical documents, memberships, bookings, and screenshots. Orlo extracts the important information, presents it for review, and creates smart reminders for key dates.

## What Orlo Does

- Accepts uploads of images (JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC) and PDFs up to 20MB
- Uses AI to classify documents into 15 types: insurance, invoices, receipts, bookings, subscriptions, events, warranties, contracts, medical, tax, vehicle, travel, utility, membership
- Extracts key fields: provider names, policy numbers, dates, amounts, reference numbers, registration numbers, passport numbers, and more
- Presents extracted data for user review and editing before confirmation
- Creates intelligent reminder suggestions from extracted dates tailored to each document type
- Insurance: reminders at 6 weeks, 4 weeks, 2 weeks, and 3 days before expiry
- Vehicle (MOT, tax): reminders at 6 weeks, 2 weeks, and 3 days before expiry
- Passports and visas: 6-month, 3-month, and 1-month expiry warnings
- Tax: filing deadline reminders at 3 months, 1 month, 1 week; payment reminders at 2 weeks and 3 days
- Contracts: 3-month, 1-month, notice period, and 1-week warnings before end date
- Warranties: 3-month, 1-month, and 1-week warnings before coverage expires
- Medical: appointment reminders and prescription refill alerts
- Invoices: payment reminders at 1 week, 3 days, and 1 day before due date
- Utility bills: payment reminders plus contract end date warnings for switching deals
- Memberships: renewal review reminders at 1 month, 1 week, and 1 day
- Receipts: return-window reminders for recent purchases
- Subscriptions: renewal reminders plus mid-cycle review for annual plans
- Bookings and events: reminders at 1 week and 1 day before
- Sends email reminders and push notifications (iOS, Android coming soon)
- Weekly digest email every Monday: reminders due, documents to review, calendar events. Skips users with nothing to report
- Bulk upload: drop multiple documents at once, each processed independently with live progress
- Document tags: custom user-defined tags for organisation, searchable and filterable
- Full-text search: search across document titles, references, tags, and extracted content
- PDF summary export: printable overview of all documents, reminders, and calendar events
- Dark and light theme: toggle in the sidebar, preference saved in browser
- Renewal price tracking: auto-links documents from the same provider, shows price changes year-on-year
- Household dashboard: single-screen overview of monthly costs, upcoming renewals, key dates, price changes, spending trends
- Proactive alerts: system-generated insights on price increases, approaching renewals, and spending summaries via email and push
- Gmail integration: connect Gmail to auto-import document attachments (invoices, bills, renewals). Outlook coming soon

- All documents stored in private cloud storage with no public URLs
- Row-level security on every database table
- Signed URLs with automatic short expiry for document access
- All processing happens server-side
- GDPR compliant with full data rights (access, export, delete)
- 256-bit SSL encryption in transit
- Billing handled by Stripe (Orlo never stores card details)
- Cloudflare Turnstile on all authentication forms
- Rate limiting on all API endpoints
- Audit trail for all account actions
