Household paperwork shouldn't be one person's job

When only one of you has access, one deadline slip is a household crisis.

Only one of you gets the email

The insurance renewal lands in their inbox, the MOT reminder in yours. Neither of you sees the other's deadlines. The first anyone knows is when the policy auto-renews 30% higher.

Kids' paperwork is everywhere

School registrations, vaccination records, exam certificates, dentist appointments. Spread across two phones, three inboxes, and a drawer by the door.

Urgent handovers during emergencies

When someone in the family needs medical info, passport details, or insurance paperwork, the last thing you want is to be paging through inbox folders.

How it works

1

Create a shared household workspace

From the workspace switcher, make a new Shared household workspace. Give it a name and an emoji.

2

Invite your partner

Open workspace settings, click Invite. They get an email, sign in with their own Orlo account, and land in the same workspace.

3

Everyone sees everything

Upload an insurance renewal. Both of you see it. Both get the reminders. Both can add more documents.

Built for real household life

One shared inbox, two people watching

Upload once, both see it. No more "did you get the email" — it's in Orlo either way.

Share docs one-off with doctors & schools

Your son's medical letter, your daughter's vaccination record. Generate a read-only link with a 30-day expiry and send it. No accounts needed on their end.

Personal workspace stays private

Your own Personal workspace (the one you signed up with) is never shared. Keep your docs private; share what matters with your partner.

Reminders for the whole household

Car insurance renewal. Dentist appointment. Kids' school deadline. Both of you get notified — no single point of failure.

Emergency access baked in

If you're travelling and something happens, your partner already has passport scans, medical records, and insurance details. No frantic phone calls.

Forward emails straight in

Your shared workspace has its own forwarding address. Add both partners' emails to the allowed list. Forward anything — it lands in the shared inbox.

Frequently asked questions

Does my partner need to pay for their own account?
No. Members you invite don't count as a separate paying user. On Basic you can invite 1 member; on Pro up to 10. The person being invited needs a free Orlo account to sign in, but they don't have to pay for anything extra.
Can we both upload documents?
Yes. As an Editor (which is the default role), your partner can upload, edit, confirm, and delete documents in the shared workspace. Viewers have read-only access if you want to limit someone.
What happens if we separate?
You (as the owner) can remove a member at any time from workspace settings. They lose access instantly. Documents you added stay in the workspace; documents they added also stay. Nobody loses data.
Can I share just one document with the school or doctor?
Yes. Click Share on any document, set an expiry (7 days / 30 days / never), and send the link. No Orlo account needed on the recipient's end. Revoke any time.
Do kids need their own accounts?
Not for household documents — everything lives in the Shared household workspace that you and your partner manage. When kids are older they can create their own Orlo account and you can transfer their documents across.
Can I see who added which document?
Every document records who uploaded it. You can see that in the document details.
