How it works

Three ways in. One place. Reminders before every deadline.

Forward an email, snap a photo, or drag a PDF in. Orlo reads your document, files it under the right category, and reminds you in plenty of time. The most common question we get is “how do I get all my existing documents in?” Here is exactly that.

Part one

Getting your documents in

Pick whichever method fits the document in front of you. You can mix and match. Most users end up using all three.

Method 1

Forward an email

Best for renewals, bills, and confirmations that already arrive in your inbox.

Every Orlo account comes with its own personal email address, something like yourname@in.getorlo.app. Forward any document straight to it and the attachment or email body gets read, filed, and reminded on, automatically.

  1. 1Copy your personal Orlo address from Settings.
  2. 2Add it as a Gmail or Outlook filter, or just forward emails manually.
  3. 3Receipts, renewals, and bills file themselves the moment they arrive.
Method 2

Snap a photo

Best for paper letters, MOT certificates, and anything in a kitchen drawer.

Open the Orlo app on iOS or Android, point your phone camera at a piece of paper, and tap. The image is cropped, de-skewed, and uploaded in seconds. The AI does the rest.

  1. 1Open Orlo on your phone, tap Upload.
  2. 2Frame the document, tap the shutter, done.
  3. 3The extracted details appear on screen within a few seconds.
Method 3

Drag and drop

Best for PDFs already on your computer, or downloads from a bank portal.

Open Orlo on the web and drag PDFs or images straight onto the page. Bulk upload lets you drop the contents of an entire folder at once.

  1. 1Open getorlo.app and sign in.
  2. 2Drag PDFs from your downloads or desktop straight onto the inbox.
  3. 3Each one is processed in the background with a live progress indicator.

Got a backlog already? Forward old emails in batches, or upload a folder of scanned PDFs in one go. Orlo processes up to 50 documents in parallel.

Part two

What Orlo does the moment it arrives

The same four steps every time, no matter how the document came in.

Step 1

Recognises

Orlo identifies what the document is. Insurance policy, council tax bill, MOT certificate, payslip. No tagging by you.

Step 2

Extracts

Pulls out the dates, supplier, amount, and reference numbers that matter for that document type.

Step 3

Files

Stores the original document and the structured details under the right category, searchable across every field.

Step 4

Suggests reminders

Proposes the right reminder windows for that document. You accept, edit, or add your own.

Example: an insurance policy after extraction

The right reminder for the right document

That is the whole loop

You get a document in by whichever method is easiest. Orlo files it. The reminder fires when it actually matters. You act in ten seconds. Repeat.

The more documents you add, the more of your year is taken care of without thinking about it. Most users get to a state where their kitchen drawer is empty within a fortnight.
