Does Orlo do VAT returns?
Not directly — Orlo is your document manager, not your accounting tool. But it gives you one clean place for every receipt and invoice, which is what your accountant or bookkeeping software needs. Pair Orlo with FreeAgent or Xero and let each do what they do well.
How many workspaces can I have on the Basic plan?
Basic includes 3 workspaces. That's enough for Personal + Business + one extra (e.g. a rental property). Pro lifts the limit to 20.
Can I invite my accountant?
Yes — invite them as an editor on your Business workspace. They sign in with their own Orlo account, see every document, and can add anything you've missed. Or, if they prefer, send them a read-only share link — no account needed.
What about Making Tax Digital?
MTD requires accounting software for submission, not document management. Orlo keeps the source documents organised; MTD-compatible tools like FreeAgent, QuickBooks, or Xero handle the submission.
Does forwarding from my business email work?
Yes, from any address on your workspace's allowed-senders list. Add your business email, your colleague's email, your accountant's — anyone you trust to forward things into this workspace.
Can I tag business receipts by category?
